Thanks Go Go Gergie for heads up on this one!

Dub Trio @ Ohm Lounge Sunday

Sunday, January 29, 2006
Starting at 9:30 PM

Dub Trio play live dub—no soundboy, no remixing—just three guys and their instruments (plus a bunch of gadgets & pedals). They wield their instruments with gusto, as evidenced not only by their session work on recordings by G-Unit and Maxie Priest, as well as stage appearances alongside Burning Spear, The Wailers, Soulive, Antibalas, Steel Pulse, No Doubt, The Roots & James Brown, but also by the creative lengths they travel to achieve their remarkable sound and revolutionary concept. For example, Joe drumming one handed so he can hold to his snare drum the microphone connected to an echo chamber.

Umm..

You and I have a date that day.
The Full Monty, New Times Theatre, 2pm.

Gosh, it's like you're in Japan and forgetting about me already.

Steve Parker, we were gonna be best friends for life!

P.S. Does anyone know if I'd be able to get in to this?

Seeing how they're strictly 21+ and that you don't look close to that, I don't see how, sorry.

Some places I can see why they let it go. But the Ohm Lounge is trying hard to be uber trendy, so I really don't see you sneaking in.

yeah i'll be there tonight.

but i can't see you getting in. they're pretty strict on IDs. the managment there are a buncha dicks too. last sunday there was a pretty good avant garde jazz band playing. i guess the manager didnt like their sound and after 15 minutes of the first set he told em to get off the stage. hopefully they still got paid.

go go gergie signing off.
