We did it for last few years. But every year has had only relative success; people show up for a short while and then leave. It gets discouraging when not many people are there by the end of the night. So no nothing is planned this year, in the future we might bring it back if there is enough interest.

Wasn't the red house pretty packed?

I've seen the pictures.

I honestly don't remember though.

It did go pretty well at the red house early in the night, but by the end very few people were left. If we had a free venue like a house it might be a possibility again. Having it at the red house was a reaction to the poor turnout the year before.

I thought the year before was at the 505 and it was pretty much all locals, and it was pretty well attended too?

There wasn't a great turnout at the 505, and those that came were in and out which is the problem. There was literally 20 people tops left by midnight, I remember it was Dinkus 9 playing and Kitten was there.

If Brian Leigh wants to host it, sure. Or maybe Karen does?

It is because they all want to have sex with Steven Parker.

as much as I'd like to have sex with Mr. Parker, I wont be around this weekend. I'll be down in Time Square watching the ball drop in the rain. WOOHOO! If I were around, I'd be down for a house show at my place, but maybe we can have a New Years Themed Ska Party in the middle of January? that would make tons of sense! cheap champaigne, silly hats, streamers, noise makers, fireworks! I can see it all now. it'll definitely be worth 6 more hours of shoveling snow.

A Happy New Years to everyone!

Cheers,
Brian

If I wasn't at my parents' house over break, I'd host it in a second.
