Check out this obviously young band from Swizerland called Equal
and tell me if they don't look like they'd fit in perfectly playing a Westcott show?
They really seem obviously ska kids, don't you agree?
I love the animation above -- it really captures their youthful exuberance.

But check out the music.
It's pretty sophisticated, actually.
That's the first hint this is a European ska band and not American.
Where I was really charmed was some of their lyrics.
Check out the songs "Life Attitude" and "Sweet Time".

Some lyrics from "Sweet Time":

Don't you point your finger cause I'm not the same as you
I am not so bad as you have grown up to assume.

If you listen to me and you cease to bomb my land.

I really hope the younger kids on this messageboard
can learn something from this young Swiss ska band.
Talking about injustice with a sweet ska beat behind you
isn't preachy or confrontational,
it's just being honest about life
and hopeful the future can be better.

Do the kids jumping in the field above look like
emo or hardcore kids to you???

They remind me of The Benefits.
Cool band though.
It's crazy that they're only 15-18 years old.

Yeah, their website says they formed for a battle of the bands in 2003.

And I like how they state their goal is ...
"For it to go on like it started,
to overtake the world with our music,
and hold on to our principles."

Near I can figure out, they're from the Zurich area.
It appears their guitarist does the website.
The graphics are brilliant. I want him to do mine!!
And it's neat how even their band name makes a statement.
