A Silver Mt. Zion, Broken Social Scene, New Pornographers, Joanna Newsom, Do Make Say Think, Spoon, Sun Kill Moon, Mandate of Heaven, whatever?

How about instrumental stuff? Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Jaga Jazzist, Isis, Pelican, Mare?

Just wondering.

Awesome. Have you ever heard mare dude? They basically made me start liking almost-core stuff.

I know you're into hardcore so I think you'd dig them.

I think Hex either brought Mare or has talked about them. I havn't gotten to listen though. At school you can't listen to streaming media like myspace or download using soulseek. So now that I'm home I'm going to do some major catch up. Explosions in the Sky is good for when I have to go to the bathroom while on the radio, 8 minute songs woo.

Remind me to comment later - right now, I have a date with a pack of smokes and Sonic Youth - Murray Street.

Broken Social Scene is probably my favorite band of all time. Disregarding ska, that is.

I listed a bunch of really obscure (but f*ck amazing) instrumental bands on the 315 board when someone posted asking about them. Read everyone's post on that... it was a pretty good combined list.

Everyone who listens to "indie" listens to "not run of the mill indie" because the point of indie is to drop names of 20 bands that no one's ever heard of...
