One of the hazards you risk, going to a DKM show. :P

Big D is one of my favorite bands so I am probably biased for saying that I love them. Plus, I know them, so thats a plus as well. Also, the Oncenter has expensive beer and the sound is horrible.

January should be boss though.

much respect,
AJ

i agree the sound was fairly terrible, but it was still a pretty kickass show. It was funny when they got like 100 people up on stage. Also did you guys see the huge guy in the kilt spinning around in the middle of the pit? different strokes for different folks i guess.

on a side note; when the second band, Righteous Jams, was warming up their guitar player played a chord progression that is the EXACT same as one of our old songs, exactly the same way we play it

Yeah, I heard the terrible sound for Big D kind of ruined their set. But then again I heard that froma girl who doesn't really care for them..

the sound was bad all around, due to both the acoustics of the room and the sound guy. big d was awesome but i wish their set couldve been much longer. didnt they have a trombone player too? they didnt have one last night....anyway they rocked.

dropkick was real cool too but i was hoping for some more songs from black out. they played auld triangle so i cant complain too much.

good show, i definately got my money's worth.

Yeah, Paul Cuttler, was not in attendance with Big D. I was hanging backstage with them and never even asked. I am a dumbass!

He was probably sick. I hope anyways. He was at the halloween show.

yeah the big d sound sucked balls it took me a while to figure out what songs they were playing. if it was a better room or a better sound guy it would have been a ton better. DKM sounded a lot better. i danced my ass off too

I danced alot, and crowed surfed once succesfuly and once not so....I fell threw haha.

That guy in the kilt was annoying the hell out of me. I wanted to 2 step to rightious jams but he kept taking up so much of the pit that ther ewasnt enough room due to the others danceing.

Then he tried to mosh during Big D....one kid got a punch in. I saw some kids thrashing their elbows around because people can't dance, and I know of one other person who puched a drunk mosher in the gut. Supprisingly enough, the hardcore kids were cool about the drunks.

Murphys was good, it seemed to work out all right. A bit of moshing/circle pits. The set was long, and they played alot of songs I have never herd them play live. And they played Minor Threat!!! as a closer. Amazing.

I do remember some guy flying into me, his elbow hit my gut and his head, at least thats what I though it was, hit my head and I almost blacked out. I got the tunnel vision. Then he pretty much had his arms around me, asking "are you alright?"

It was an awesome show. (And yes, the sound sucked)

Do they do that at like every show or something? I remeber when I saw them back in January at RIT they tried to but the security guard were being lame so the two singers went over to the bleachers with everyone. That was an amazing show.

They did that years ago in Rochester on the Lars Fred.. and Swingin' Utters tour.

RIT had "insurance concerns" or something similarly lame.

DKM did do their thing when they played Water Street last year, but security called "no more" just as I got to the barrier.

So I stood there, swearing at my buddies that made the cut, in between grinning and singing along to Skinhead.

Hah! That reminded of this show my friend DRAGGED me too... it was Kittie, 18 Visions and some local tough guy hardcore band. So, it was half filled with hardcore kids, and half filled with hot topic/krock kids.

Now... THAT... was an interesting night.
