I use two services to host graphics for my board posts and roc-ska.com, and both are excellent if you lack your own webspace or are on a tight budget. Each offers basic functionality for free, direct linking, HTML generation, upload tools, albums and slideshows. Here's how the rest of the features stack up:

Flickr

+ tags for further organization

+ view count
+ viewer comments
+ favorites list
+ tech details (for unedited digital camera images)
+ HTML and Flash-based badges for websites and blogs.
- photographs only
- image must be hot-linked to flickr

+ non-photo graphics allowed
+ hot-link images to anywhere
+ BBCode generation
- organization limited to albums

Or, I pay the $4 a month for your own hosting and not have to deal with any of that!

Or, what I do, find a friend who already does pay for it and get a sub directory for your crap!

FTPing stuff is so much easier.
