Yeah, very small crowd in a really big room. But the average age was probably about 18-19 and they were enthusiastic. It was good to see some of the small, but faithful Utica-Rome ska scene out.
The Slackers set kinda mystified me though. They did several new tunes, mixed with mostly newer material more on the reggae side. I was surprised how few of their standard playlist they ended up doing, at least until the encore. They played almost none of their popular singles tonight. The stage banter was entertaining as usual, a mix of barbs at GW Bush and some inside jokes, including about a dildo (Vic: "can you say 'dildo' at a community college?").
Nice to see some SU representation there too.
