It was pretty neat, all the bands played well. 1997 had a cult following singing along and dancing, The Graduate went over well and was stoked to be able to play more then the few songs they're usually allowed when not headlining. Go All Out has a lot of unnecessary swearing in their songs but they're well put together for a high school pop-punk band and they didn't even play any blink182 covers. Honor Bright and LSF did their thing, HB played a Refused cover and their merch guy danced around scaring little girls. Too bad LSF is probably taking a break because I'm pretty sure they gained a bunch of new fans judging by the chicks that had LSF shirts on by the end of the night. Probably 80/20 female to male ratio.

Yeah, I think it was a very enjoyable show. All the bands were solid and I especially liked 1997. The Graduate was really good too, but 1997 is more my style.

BTW, it was hilarious that for the first 15 minutes, only girls paid to get in. Some guys started showing up, but like Johanna said, they were highly outnumbered. A 4:1 ratio sounds about right.

It was also interesting that I got props for wearing a Tip The Van shirt by a guy from SUNY Oswego with his ESF girlfriend. When they get back in the fall, they promised to start catching local ska shows. There were also a handful of kids from Skalloween and some other shows. The rest of the kids strike me as natural ska fans as well, even if no one danced to any of the bands -- this is indie rock, after all. :geek:

I'm disappointed I couldn't make it up for this show, it sounds like it was a lot of fun. LSF is probably one of my favorite local acts, and I haven't seen them in forever. And now they might be taking a break? That is quite sad.

yeah, they're probably playing 2-3 more shows before some of them go to school for photo in other states. oh and on another note on Wednesday i had poprocks for the first time, they came in a press kit for some guy, and then my friend and i described the experience of eating them on the radio.
