Hey guys, I'm trying to help Smo with a tour he and his friends are doing.

The bands:
Mose Giganticus -- Philly electro-punk ("think Andrew WK and the Epoxies in an arm wrestling match with Mark Mothersbaugh reffing")
The Emotron -- Philly punk-new wave ("pretty poppy and weird")

They wanna hit Syracuse on Wed, Apr 30th, which is a day after classes end at SU. We're clear to use Funk'n Waffles that night, but its a weeknight and they won't be able to start music at 8pm, which might make it tough to get people out. I'm trying gauge if there's enough interest to try that.

And barring that option, I'm already looking into a possible house show for them that night instead.

But let me know what you think of the bands and a show that night.

I got the Mose Gigantus cd in a valiant death records grab bag and thought it was awful. The dude screaming over eveything with the robotic voice behind it is annoying. I guess I could see it being a little more entertaining live maybe. I can't listen to the other band right now.

Either way I won't be in town regardless though.

The Emotron is awesome live. Also, he used to be in Treephort.

philly??? i thought kyle lived in georgia.

I like the stuff on mose's myspace and plan to help with their show in Rochester.

Reminds me of Atom and His Package only rougher and less funny. But it's good stuff...

And we're touring with: The Emotron http://myspace.com/theemotron - electronic spastic one man band/performance art maniac [sounds like atom and his package after drinking 5 redbulls while watching a macully culkin marathon in a covered wagon fording a river.]

we're on a 7 month tour to alaska, it's been crazy so far! we're down in north carolina, working our way to florida and then back up before we get to syracuse.
