Sept. 1st at The Bug Jar: The Emersons, Eddie Nebula & the Plague, Taduya. ALL AGES. 8PM. $5over/$7under.

Sept. 10th at Monty's Krown: The Emersons, Flour City Knuckleheads, The Sweatshop Boys, Grimetime. 21+. 8PM. $5 to benefit the Monroe County Humane Society.

Sept. 29th at The Bug Jar: The Spunks, Gito Gito Hustler, The Emersons. I'm pretty sure this one's all ages, too. 8PM. Price TBA. Why are we playing with two awesome Japanese bands? I have no idea, but I'm sure as hell not complaining.

Oct. 22nd at Hot Shots Indoor Beach Volleyball (I have no idea about that, either). The Emersons and The Isotopes. All Ages, I assume. Price and time TBA, to benefit breast cancer research. Go 'Topes!

http://www.bugjar.com/ says $6 over/$8 under. Standard Thursday price, I think.

I'll be at least at that one and the Krown show. You guys, the Knuckleheads and the Sweatshop boys for $5 is a ridiculous bargain.

I'd love to be at the one on the 10th, I just can't do it though.

I haven't seen Pinker or Grime Time, but Flour City Knuckleheads and the Sweatshop Boys are also worth seeing.

I've never heard of Pinker before. Grimetime is interesting - Shane (their guitarist and singer) is a good musician, and also completely out of his gourd. The first time I saw them, he only had about a 6' instrument cable, and kept forgetting about that and pulling his guitar head off the cabinet every time he'd move. It was hilarious.

Anyway, yeah, you all should come down. We definitely shouldn't be on before 9. Hell, I'll be surprised if anyone's on before 9.

IT'S TO BENEFIT LOLLYPOP FARM. CUTE PUPPIES AND KITTENS!

Wait, I think I remember that. Wasn't that at one of the Punk Picnics?

Funny. I don't remember liking them at all that time...

...and last night, I couldn't stop grinning during their set. Shane is the Wesley Willis of punk rock.

Ok, when it gets closer to these, I'll probably post again, but we just got set up with a show Oct. 11th with The UV Rays and Murphy's Law.

That's right, Murphy's Law. It's at the Bug Jar.

YES.

(I missed Murphy's Law the last two times they came through, and the last time was a ridiculously awesome lineup that escapes me now. And I still haven't seen the UV Rays yet. )
