does anyone know when the Distorted Penguins are going to play another show and where?
same goes for the Naked Citizens...

Do you mean in Syracuse? Because to keep the natives happy, we try not to repeat too often or soon. There are SOOOOOO many quality bands out there, we really have no need to do that ...

They were going to play at the University of Rochester on Sept. 30th with The Glow.

DP got back to me a few days ago to confirm that it's being rescheduled, although they didn't say when.

The Glow said October 7th is the likely date.

More details as I get them...

Rochester's been unlucky with ska shows this year, with the Know How/Five Star Riot coincidence, and the Pietasters almost played Water Street, but got edged out by KMFDM...

Rosie and I caught Chris Carrabba and RBF last year at Cornell.

We had friends who were there JUST for Chris, and friends who were there JUST for RBF. Unlike all of them, we were there for both. It was awesome.

Trust me, pay the extra money for the floor, or you will be sitting in sideways facing bleachers.

I didn't even know they did seating there - the only time I was there was years ago for They Might Be Giants, and the space between the bleachers was wide open.

That was back in the mid '90s, when kids would "mosh" to anything. :roll:
