http://www.myspace.com/rochesterska

That used to be the URL for Rochester Ska's myspace profile.

But that's a pain to fit onto flyers.

So now it is:

http://www.myspace.com/rocska

All the great taste you've come to expect, now with 16% fewer letters!

(myspace.com/rochesterska does not work any more. It will redirect you to http://home.myspace.com/)

Yeah. I actually counted the characters cut and used a calculator to figure out the percentage.

Silly, I am. Yes.

Aaron and I were talking about the importance of names on the ride home. That, and all the "creative" spellings of Rochester I've seen pointed to this course of action.

That, and I access the IntarWeb through like twelve different points, so the less effort I spend retyping my stupid URL, the better.

And now I can fit a little more code into my signature. I tried to put italics in, but phpBB threw up and demanded I give it a shorter sig.

Yeah, and the sad part is that I went through and counted all the letters to make SURE that you had done the math right.

And, yes, I like the new URL much better.

And I don't like the variations on "Rochester" I hear - Rochacha, Rottenchester, Rot-chester.

Well, I like ROCKchester, but it's awkward and long. So I call our burg "the ROC"

'cause it sounds all hip-hop that way, and I want to be dope like the MC Bat Commander.

I thought Tom Foolery got around that rather well with Rockester.

Also, I've always gotten a kick out of Crotchfester. Not that that's appealing or anything...

The old URL does not re-direct.

I typed "rockska" by accident and discovered another myspace account and a related website (http://www.rockska.com).

While "rochesterska" is longer to type or put on a flyer, it's nice and logical. That's why we never got tricky with SyracuseSka.

I phrased that badly. myspace.com/rochesterska will redirect you to the main page of myspace, not our profile.

Hey Twitch, I noticed a couple days ago you put "Chicken Of The Sea" by us on the Rochester ska page. We, as a band, realized we all pretty much hated the song and therefore are never playing it again. Just letting you know. Maybe you could change it to "Batman Sucks" or "Johnson"? Thanks.

I think "chicken of the sea" is pretty good. You guys should keep playing it(atleast just for the 24th)
