How about Dub Is A Weapon or The Aggrolites, for starters ...

All those are really good bands/places to listen to dub. You may want to look into a few Trojan Records boxsets, they have TONS and there are a lot of jems in there.

the basics and all time classics in dub

king tubby and lee scratch perry are supreme and the original inovators when it comes to dub. also check out mikey dread, scientist, any of the trojan dub compilations, sly and robbie (drum and bass duo who have recorded almost 20,000 tracks together, pretty much any big reggae song from the 70s has a good chance that they played on it). just to name a few.

for chill music i would definate recommend checking out some of the bill laswell remix albums he has put out. definately adds a dub element to some out there types of music.
if you like the slackers, def check out vic ruggerio's "a live at the bug house" solo acoustic album. absolutely amazing.
billy bragg is great folk punk, if you like say against me!'s acoustic album, check this guy out. orginator and amazing.

instrumental? check out tristeza (members of the locust! but not similar at all) and tortoise. great instrumental chill bands you'll love.

hope that helped

go go gergie signing offl.

Haha. Danny, I played The Aggrolites for Johnny Hero the other day when he was at my place and he almost DIED because it was so good. He was like 'Holy crap, burn me this right NOW.' Haha, I laughed.
