Anybody know anything about this besides that it's August 5th in Colorado, and that it's Chris Murray, King Django, Deal's Gone Bad, etc. (ie price, location, etc, pre-sales?)?

Wow. I might have to see if I can make it out there for that.

What an amazing show.

Actually, the 6th Annual Victoria Ska Festival on July 13-16 looks more interesting:

FISHBONE -- L.A.'s Ska Funk Jazz Legends
LONG BEACH SHORT BUS -- former members of Sublime & Long Beach Dub All Stars
THE FURIOS -- Vancouver Latin-ska
THE ALLENTONS -- So Cal reggae-ska
MAKESHIFT HEROES -- Toronto ska/jazz/reggae
SGR -- Philly reggae-ska
THE AFTERBEAT -- Winnipeg reggae-ska
MAD BOMBER SOCIETY - Edmonton, Alberta ska-rock
ONE DROP -- Victoria Ska Reggae Hip Hop
SANTA LUCIA LFR -- Latin Funk Ska
DJ SU-COMANDANTE -- Guest DJ from El Salvador
and lots more.

$20 US. This should be an easy ferry ride from Seattle, for what its worth ...

Yeah, it does sound good, but I have to be home on the 16th for a wedding.

wow, the fact that SGR is on that is so incredibly cool.

Good for those guys (even if i'm not much a fan of "the atomic pony EP")

Have you seen them live yet? They're really more of a live band than a good studio outfit so far (maybe just a poor recording?). I only saw them at Ska Weekend in Knoxville TN, but that was enough. And likewise, hanging out with them that night at Ben's house really brought out what nice guys they are.

Would anyone be much interested in having them play in Syracuse????

i've seen them 5 or 6 times and i definitely agree they are more of a live band than they are a studio band. they can definitely get a crowd going. they did a sublime montage at hamilton street (the show was with High School Football Heroes, JadeFire, and Too Short Notice) and the montage was just amazing. I wish they would do it more often.

I'd definitely be interested in seeing them if you could get them up here during the school year. But then again, if you got any New Jersey or Long Island locals up here, I would be interested because those are generally the local scenes in which I dwell. I'm not sure how many other people up here have heard of SGR...
