Hey Twitch, I think Djano managed to find the one date for a show worse than the 26th.

Only way it would be worse is if the transit strike was still on.

I'm sitting here, wishing there was something to do. It's positively my least favorite thing about the holidays.

Hahahahahaha!!! Dumb goy boy.

This show features Jewish music. That's perfect for Christmas eve when no one is working and very little is open, but your family isn't celebrating anything anyway. One former Jewish girlfriend of mine, her family always goes to Ft Lauderdale for the "Christmas" season, because its cheaper and its not their holiday anyhow.

I guess it's understandable you didn't automatically realize. I have Jewish relatives and many former Jewish girlfriends. I've celebrated Hanukkah almost as much as I've celebrated Christmas. BTW, it really rocks to get presents for 8 days and not just one. :D

Just becase they are Jrwish doesn't mean the majority of us.

It still is gunna have less turnout than it would if it were last weekend or this weekend.

Turnout isn't everything.

And I would go to a WNY klezmer-ska show any day of the year.

That's because you are a scrooge.

If by "scrooge" you mean "Buddhist that digs klezmer music," then yes.

It still is gunna have less turnout than it would if it were last weekend or this weekend.

Two Jewish music groups whose primary audience is Jewish are playing at a Jewish venue on Christmas Eve. The turnout will be higher because no one has to work, so everyone that wants to go, can go. Sounds like brilliant booking to me. :D

Honestly Mike, these groups have about 95% Jewish following anyway, so any other day wouldn't help. And since everyone is off work on a Saturday night, the turnout will actually be significantly higher.

I remember one of my friends telling me she discovered ska when NY Ska-Jazz Ensemble played a Bat Mitzva she attended. How cool is that?? BTW, she's the same one that told me that Roots & Culture Band are all nice Jewish boys. "For once, I could bring home a guy from a band that my mother would approve of!".

Happy Hanukkah everyone!!!
