I'm definately going to try to make it out for this show. I saw them when they came to Rochester back in April and they were awesome. Plus, I want to hear more new songs.

Wanna give a friend a ride?

It sucks that this is less than a month from when I will get my night license.

Matt Dunn is now working for Max Cruise promotion, so expect more random shows like this. But keep in mind they are not by any means a normal syracuse ska show, do not go expecting to see kids you see at Danny's shows. Definatly don't expect for people to know anything about how to behave at a show either.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that I've never, ever been a fan of LTJ (or RBF either, for that matter). But I don't begrudge anyone else that enjoys them. It's kind of sad to realize the last time they were in Syracuse, admittedly many years ago, Chuck Chao had to put them at LeMoyne College and all 3,000 tickets still sold out. Tundra is a lot smaller, of course.

FWIW, I saw a recent interview with LTJ where they explained about one third of their upcoming album will be ska. Interpret that how you may. It's probably about the same proportion as for the Suicide Machines (which is a band I greatly like). I'm just not a big pop punk fan and even less a fan of pop-punk-ska, honestly.

But PLEASE don't take that as some value judgment from me about people who feel differently, because it's not. My favorite band of any genre is The Slackers and unlike some of their fans, I'm not bothered by people who find them boring. Hell, I did originally until I "got" what they were doing, which took awhile. It's an evolution and we don't all evolve the same way. :D

I'm not a fan of LTJ, and I'm even less of a fan of Tundra.

Not going to mention any band names, but i heard a "ska" band's sample tunes today and for the life of me couldn't hear the ska in it. i guess having some horns in mix qualified it in their mind. I know probably the majority of the people on this website like punk or hardcore mixed in ther ska, but i personally like ska as ska. doesnt have to be a skatalites trad knockoff it can be new and modern, but what i heard today sounded like some earthcrisis w/ horns and i wouldnt say that was ska at all. i wasnt wild about the bosstones metal ska and i supposed this is their bastard stepchildren today, but not my bag. dont mean to insult you if thats your thing. i was just suprised to hear it called ska. ras a

Well that seems to be a big improvement from 'Anthem', haha. Plus, "A Still Life Franchise" is amazing. Does anyone have a better bootleg of it than the video that was posted on 21deadmonkeys?

Good deal. LTJ + Big D = awesome. What so bad about the Tundra?

yeah, i didn't want to mention big d and get people excited because they're only on select dates and i hadn't figured out who the support on the 'Cuse date was. Knowing Big D will be there seals the deal. I'll definitely be there.
