The Argo-Nots debut at CBA Jamnesty '05

Okay, we've had Off Main Street (formerly The Verbs) from East Syracuse-Minoa HS and Bill Reilly Enigma from Marcellus HS for awhile. And more recently we've added The Secret Ions from Onondaga Central HS and now The Argo-Nots from Bishop Grimes HS.

But I keep hearing rumors of new high school ska bands forming at Fayetteville-Manlius, Liverpool and Cicero-North Syracuse high schools, for example. Any truth to those rumors???

Also, whatever happened to all the kids at West Genesee HS? Three ska bands came out of that large school (Straighter Than Pete, Skatos and Saaa), but after Saaa graduated, it's been really quiet out that way. Anyone here know kids into ska there?

Just wondering ...

It'd be nice to have ska bands at Common Grounds in Cazenovia again. And of course, we can do that anytime someone in Caz wants to help set them up (hint, hint).

Also, can you hear WXXE 90.5 FM? It's currently a weak signal based at the Fenner town garage. After we seriously upgrade it in 2006, it will come in clearly in Caz, but it's not a strong signal there at the moment.

there is one forming in f-m. it features steve and alex w of magic goat. they have had some difficulty getting members to attend band practices (especially the guitar player). i think they wanted to be playing shows this winter but it doesnt look like that will happen for them....maybe march or april. ill keep you posted.

They're bringing a new meaning to the word two-tone.........

I guess that'd be a lame joke if it made sense.

Email me at danny@wxxe.org and we can discuss this.

Typical. Car stereos tend to be far more sensitive receivers. Try a good antenna set-up at home.

Yea, but we are going to try out a singer tomorrow (Thursday). Still need a horn section, bass player and key board player.

Hey, I'm still willing to rock out. Next week I don't have anything to do except for a final Tuesday evening.
