So I know some expressed a little concern about The Planet Smashers opening for Simple Plan, but fear not.

I made the drive up to St. Catharines, ON last night and saw the Planet Smashers at L3. There were maybe 150 kids there, and the Planet Smashers did not stop expressing how happy they were to be playing a pub, and to be away from the Simple Plan tour. Simple Plan gave them a bus, and The Planet Smashers invited everyone on it after the show to party (unfortunately I had a 7am class, so I had to bail.)

There were numerous "F*ck Simple Plan," chants throughout the night, and a lot of stories about how awkward the tour has been for them. Matt said that if anyone wanted to go to the Toronto show on Wednesday to email him and he'd hook them up with free tickets.

Matt assured everyone that The Planet Smashers would be back playing pubs real soon, and that this is where they belonged.

They played for about an hour and a half, taking requests, and having a good time. It was definately one of the best shows I've been to, well, probably ever.

Here is a rough idea of the setlist, even though they mixed it up, and took requests:

Fabricated
Do No Wrong
Bullets to the Ground
Life of the Party
Too Much Attitude
Mighty
Unstoppable
Surfin' in Tofino
Missionary's Downfall
Blind
J'aime ta Femme (I Like Your Girl)
The 80 Bus
Raise Your Glass
Super Orgy Porno Party
Never Gonna Drink Again
Shithead
Pee in the Elevator
Sk8 or Die
My Decision

I seriously can't wait to get them back in Syracuse (and/or Rochester).
