THE SKATALITES - In Orbit Vol. 1
This is a brandnew live-recording - taped on September 23-24, 2005 at two sold-out nights in Teatro Armenio in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Now there are a few official live recordings of the Skatalites on CD out there... but this one is different - the audience is fantastic. Just how enthusiastic they sing along "Guns Of Navarone" is incredible. Sounds like the people in Argentina/Buenos Aires *love* the Skatalites. The recording features also the wonderful Doreen Shaffer.

This album will be out on Grover Records in Europe; the liner notes speak of a "first volume in a series of live releases (Skatalites in Orbit)".

Wow. That's great, great news.

With a little luck, hopefully Chuck Wren will carry this on Jump Up and keep us from ordering it from Germany ... :shock:
