My girlfriend always laughs when i talk about the hobos at the highway onramps begging $. She tells me "Hobos, no one uses that word any more" little does she know.....

Yeah, I remember there being something in the news a few years back about a guy who was "homeless" and died with over $40K in a bank account somewhere and he had no living family that they knew of, so there was a huge debate about where it was supposed to go. Or something like that..

I think I read somewhere that begging money makes you a good $30K a year or so, or do I just have my facts all wrong?

actually the UN-approved term is "houseless"



and they all don't make more money than you the ones that stand at on ramps aren't real houseless people, theyre what i like to call bums. theres a distinct difference

their intent is to give "home" a more emotional meaning. whereas house is more literal and indicates the presence of a shelter or dwelling of some kind. (house, apartment, etc)
