WOW. Today was awesome...We woke up and headed to Oakland via public transportation and met up with Brandy who picked us up at a station there. Very nice girl. She showed us around a little bit and brought us to San Rafael, which is north of SAN FRANCISCO :) and the golden gate bridge. Vin and I hopped a bus into the city promptly. We were really stoked to go over the golden gate bridge, it was really cool. We sang the full house song pretty much the whole way over it:

What ever happened to predictibility?
The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV.
Everywhere you look , everywhere you go (there's a heart).
There's a heart
A hand to hold onto.
Everywhere you look , everywhere you go.
There's a face
Of somebody who needs you.
Eveywhere you look,
When you're lost out there and you're all alone,
A light is waiting to carry you home,
Everywhere you look.

So anyways...we get into the city and hit up a venue there called Slim's, where we helped carry in gear for a band playing there. We talked to the manager to try and give him a CD, but he said that only bands on a label typically play there :( , but no problem, we didn't let that get us down. We went down to the bay area to grab some eats at this place called Sinbad's. ARRRRG. It was pretty sweet seeing the bay and the big bridge and Vinnie spending like 20 bucks on lunch. haha...anyways, we went to a place after that called Fisherman's warf where we saw a bad juggler and a bunch of random stores, and Alcatraz. Could pretty much be summed up as: Socks, boxes, and a maximum security prison in the middle of a huge body of water.

I headed out to Oakland around 6:30 to catch a show there! :) It was pretty cool actually. It was at a place called the Oakland Metro put on by these two guys Josh and Bryce. I think a lot of you would be surprised. There were some decent bands on the bill...nobody huge, but the crowd was definitely good sized... I asked Josh after and he said about 200 paid, and it was a smaller show. Anyways we gave them some CD's and they said they'd definitely check it out and get in touch with us about tour in June/July, which was awesome. I met a lot of cool people at the show, who were all really happy to get free demos from a New York ska-rock band haha...It was funny...i'd go up to somebody and say, hey you want some free music? and they'd be like..."yeah, sure" then i'd be like...."awesome yeah we're a ska-rock band from Syracuse, NY and we're coming back through here in June or July," then they're eyes would light up and they'd be like "oh wow! New York?!" It's funny to think that kids in California get as excited about new york as kids in new york get excited about California. The grass really is always greener on the other side I guess.

So tomorrow i'm going back to San Francisco to this show a guy told me about today. It's at a place called "The Bottom of the Hill," conveniently located at the bottom of a hill in the city, heh. It's a CD Release party ironically, but he said it would be packed with kids that would check out a band like mine, so that's where i'm headed. :) I'm having a great time out here and i hope everyone's enjoying my updates. One more tomorrow night...Thanks everybody! g'night!

The bigger names in ska too.

At least there is time to maybe change the situation with Slims. We'll talk about it when you get back, I'm sure.
