Hey Everyone,

Some of you may remember me from the scene a few years ago while I attended SU (2002-2006). I hosted few shows at my house on Redfield Place back in 05/06 (Mike Park, The Benefits, Razbari Sumthing, and more). I've been around a few times since then too.

Well...It’s hard to believe, but it’s been over two years since I was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia in March 2008. The three rounds of chemotherapy, three spinal taps, and seven bone marrow biopsies were rough, but thanks to a Bone Marrow Transplant from my brother Josh in July 2008, I am now in remission and doing great.

I am honored to announce that I am a Candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's 2010 Man of the Year. I have set an ambitious fund raising goal of $50,000, which must be achieved over a ten-week period ending June 12. If I reach my goal of $50,000, a research grant will be named in my honor and will continue my fight against blood cancers.

I am hosting a happy hour this Friday April 30th from 5-7pm at Empire Brewing Company in Syracuse. A suggested donation of $10 gets you drink specials and entered into a raffle for some cool prizes. Additional raffle tickets will be available as well. All proceeds directly benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Please come out and support a great cause. I look forward to seeing some familiar faces on Friday.

Cheers,
Brian Leigh
