(already posted on nearly every other board, but we like Syracuse too much)
So my band Legitimate Business has a new record coming out and we just put two brand new songs online. We've played 2 Syracuse shows and both were great (and we're dying for another... c'mon Johanna!) but we had a different sound then, so after a few tough lineup changes and as a result have chosen to take the band in a new direction.
We all grew up liking all sorts of different style bands and going to shows where there could be a punk band, an acoustic act, a hardcore band, a ska band, etc. and everyone still got along. That doesn't really happen anymore - it's all about nailing down one sound perfectly. But we listen to too much stuff to let that happen, so we have all sorts of styles while trying to keep one cohesive "legitimate business" sound. We spent a lot of time writing and re-writing songs and parts to tighten up everything, and we've finally got a finished product.
