Hey everybody! Good news!! A date has been set for the release of our new studio album EXPLODING RADIO!!!

Friday December 12th at the Westcott Theater, we will be taking part in a joint CD release party for The ACTION! (us) and Rocko Dorsey. It's an all ages show and Matt Burke will be opening. The show will go from 7pm - 11pm and tickets are available for $7 presale, $10 at the door. You can buy your presale tickets RIGHT NOW over at http://www.subcat.net!!!

The show is being sponsored by SubCat Studios, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation! Mark your calendars! You will NOT want to miss this show!!!

We know that many of you are probably so filled with anticipation for the new album that you can barely stand up. So in order to appease you all, we've posted two of the new tracks on our myspace page http://www.myspace.com/bandtheaction! Check them out! Hope you like them!

See you all at The Toasters show!

- The ACTION!

I mean no disrespect by this but why would you choose to call yourself "The Action" when there is already a legendary band by that name? Reg King is one of the greatest Soul Singers of that era and as a band, The Action were an instrumental part of the Mod movement in England..... I simply cannot understand how none of you picked that up using Google and if you did but simply didn't care it shows a deep seated lack of respect for the roots of the subculture that paved the way for you to exist today.

you should have also noticed that they are using punctuation in their name. as they are:
The Action!
not
the Action

but perhaps more importantly...
who cares?
there's no real overlap or confusion that might come up.

You are correct and I apologize. Can I at least ask that you support my new Trad Ska band The Rolling-Stones?

This band really really reminds me of earlier Superspecs stuff, like... project handsoff era.

I guess that could be taken a few different ways, but I mean it as a compliment, as I loved the Superspecs. Great stuff, dudes.

Actually - he is just proving his point. Which I think, tongue in cheek, he did nicely.

Haters.
