I wish I could take credit for discovering the Planet Smashers video, but I totally ganked it from Ska, Punk and Other Junk.

Anyway. Where else do people hear what's new in the wider world of ska and punk, online and off?

Yah, that's pretty much it. I get most everything from the RBF board.

I find the Toasters board to be really good. It's also amazing what you'll find by using the Google news search function with the word "ska" ...

Thanks for the pointers, folks. I'll add those to my regular web trawling.

...which is only half of why I asked the question. I'm thinking about when I get the website up. The show listings will be the focus, but I'd like to offer more content, such as news headlines via RSS and streaming audio like Turn Up The Ska or Radio Blog Club.

Web audio shows great potential. I plan on kludging the concept with our MySpace profile to help our local bands make a name for themselves. Or, if a band wants to do a show in your town, ask them for some MP3s for you to stream on your website, point people towards the stream, and find out what they think.

And that's not even getting into using tools like podcasting and BitTorrent to get those samples out there. There are dozens of ways to get your music to people.

If you need something more local/undiscovered there's always http://www.purevolume.com
But yeah. Tons of places for the latest.
