hey danny!

i used to have a similar bulletin board on my site, i think you can divide it up into different categories to sort of channel the flow of discussion. right now you go to the index and the only thing to click is the forum, maybe you could make like a "news"; "syracuse scene" for show ideas, bands getting stuff together and booking in syracuse; "rochester scene" for the rochester end; "upcoming shows"; "general discussion" for the little blabberins we do now or something like that.

at least it might be something to keep in mind if the site gets bigger!

did i mention i'm a total nerd? i think i just made it pretty obvious...*sigh*

i think this should be something saved for when the message board goes through an entire page of posts in a single day.

otherwise, it'll just spread everything out so thin it'll look like a ghost town.

and not in a good 'the specials' kind of way.

I just downloaded that song the other day, and I'm in love with it.
Agh, it's so damn good!

Definitely worth 3 scene points.

I think if there was a general discussion section and all those other secions, I don't know if they would be used a lot. Once we get more members and such then yeah, that would be great. It's just not good, like what Steve said, to have like 10 posts per section.

That's my take on it too. Syracuse Punk has those other sections and almost no one uses them, making them rather worthless. When I cross-post shows there, I never use the shows section, because then no one would see it. Breaking into sections like that works better when you have the traffic to justify it.

Maybe someday.
