I always found the Blackouts horridly boring.
Well, they never caught on in Syracuse, which always seemed odd, since they were wildly popular in Geneseo and Rochester. I booked them in Syracuse 4 times and still no one much liked them here.
And to go back even further in ancient history, I also booked The Professionals, which was Brian Oster's previous band. Wow. Only Greg Allis, JD, Ras Adam, Larissa and Bill Eppel will remember that band. It'd be really cool if any of them would join us here.

But, the Motives usually kept their shows fun and interesting.
Yeah, they were always a good time. Last time I saw Chris was playing with The Ops at The Stoop downtown. Anyone here know what he's up to these days?

Oh how I wish that place was still around.
Yeah, the Stag was something else, alright. It really divided the ska scene into those who think seedy is cool and those who don't. About 50/50, as I recall.
Its new incarnation as the Half Penny Pub is a decent place, albeit with a fraction of the old charm. The Benefits played their last show there and it was a blast. We're hoping to maybe get back in there come fall ...
