Dunno 'bout that.
East Coast Ska:The Slackers
The Toasters
Streetlight Manifesto
Bim Skala Bim
Mustard Plug
NY Ska Jazz Ensemble
Eastern Standard Time
Westbound Train
Big D & the Kids Table
Less Than Jake
West Coast Ska:Hepcat
The Aggrolites
Fishbone
Voodoo Glow Skulls
Chris Murray
Monkey
Go Jimmy Go
Suburban Legends
Let's Go Bowling
Reel Big Fish
Both those lists are pretty damn solid ...
Take off LTJ and put on Spring Heeled Jack, The Planet Smashers (if MP counts, I'd say the PS count), MMBT, and The Pietasters.
Take off VGS and put on The Forces of Evil, The Nuckle Brothers, Jeffries Fan Club, Dance Hall Crashers, Buck-O-Nine, Mad Caddies, CodeName: Rocky, Suburban Rhythm, and The Scholars.

If by better you mean "all those bands sound exactly the same"
Oh and to Danny...yes because CodeName: Rocky sounds just like Reel Big Fish, who sounds just like the RX Bandits, who sound just like The Nuckle Brothers, who sound just like Suburban Legends, who sound just like Let's Go Bowling, who sound just like The Forces of Evil.
There are a lot more similarities in the up-and-coming sound, where they take hardcore, emo, indie, and mix it with ska (and by mix it with ska, I mean they have two horn players), that almost every single band in New Jersey is playing. If I wanted to listen to that, I'd go to an Every Time I Die show and have some kid play a trumpet....it would be the same exact thing.
