Why? Usually you don't delete threads on an internet forum? Just Wondering.....
It's not something I want to make a habit out of, but neither do I want to preserve comments that I've been reading ...
C'mon gang, we all need to get along. I don't book shows, promote bands, send out mailers, maintain a website and run this messageboard just so you all can use it to sling mud at each other. I don't mind arguments about real stuff, like politics or music or shows. But I draw the line on personal attacks.
Sorry, but I'm not providing a forum for personal attacks. I'm just not. At best, its very devisive and at worst, it destroys scenes. I've seen other scenes destroyed and I'm not going to provide the kindling to burn this one up.
I support all of our local ska bands and kids in the scene and expect others to do likewise. I'm not so dumb as to expect you to like them all or attend all their shows, but you can't tear down local ska bands or kids in the scene and expect the scene to thrive. Its just totally counter-productive.
I'm just asking everyone to play nice. You don't have to love one another, but you do have to be civil when you disagree and yeah, I'm gonna step in when civility breaks down.
Lets enjoy the music together and dwell on what we have in common. That's part of what ska is about ...
