acdc -kudos
led zeppelin- probably the most innovative and best band of all time
ramones- maybe not necessarily brilliant, but definately influential
metallica- kudos

i have a few to add.
dispatch, OAR, dmb, all that other "college band" bullshit. not phish tho , theyre sweet. any mainstream pop punk band sucks (IE good charlotte simple plan, NFG) plenty plenty more

i agree that led zepplin was innovative at their time, i mean the immagrant song came out when the beatles were just becoming popular. heads were most certainly turned. but now in when music has expanded so much i just find it kinda tacky and slightly "dungeons and dragons" (ie. "HAMMER OF THE GODS!)

How about most underrated band being The Clash.

I think people dislike them because they brought something new to punk...talent...

we should start another thread for under rated bands, just so it doesnt get confusing and intertwined

but the clash is probably the most influencial band in punk music ever... theyre not underrated

Umm.. I like all the bands that have been posted about on this thread thusfar.. Pretty sure I have an overly eclectic taste in music..

Edit: Okay, wait, I'm not really a big fan of GC and those pop punk bands Brendan mentioned, but I can tolerate them since I have friends who are into them.

i agree

it was just recentley though, ever since the ska is dead tour they have been right up there with catch 22, LTJ and Reel big fish as far as popular ska bands goes. not to mention the fact that they have like 11 songs

He never said he hated them, he just said they were overrated, no need to get offended here. There are plenty of overrated bands that I still like and wont stop liking just because a bunch of other people do.
