Syracuse Ska Forum

anybody interested?

There are a couple groups of people around Syracuse trying to form ska bands currently. It might be a bit easier if you could give some details of what you're offering and/or seeking.

Im looking for brass and singers,
I have a drummer and a bass player

Are these high school or college kids? Are you in Syracuse, a suburb or somewhere further away? What style of ska are you looking to play?

I know a number of people looking to join ska bands locally, but the answer to the above questions, for example, will change which of them are interested in what you're trying to do. It'd also help if you introduced yourself in the thread provided for that, because you probably are looking for people that are like yourself, except we have no idea what that is right now.

But hey, more ska bands are always good anywhere you're at.


That'd be awesome Jake. Numerous times local ska bands have had members attending Le Moyne, but I've never heard of an entire ska band from that school. In fact, I gather they don't have many campus bands of any genre there.

And if you end up at Le Moyne, you'd be on the east side of Syracuse where all the shows are.

As funny as it may sound, that was actually one of the original selling points for a Syracuse college. Not only are they relatively close to home, but I get to enjoys all the great music and possibly even participate in it. And the academics aren't all that bad either!

Im Zack Fitzgerald, and Im heavily into ska, punk and reggae.
Im a senior in highschool looking to start a ska/punk/rock band. And I live in Liverpool.
I think that covers it lol. Im new to the whole forums thing.

oh yeah, and our drummers goes to OCC.
