That would be an affirmative, if you spelled it straight edge at least. This question only serves to alienate people. But hey, so is life.

I'm a person just like you
But I've got better things to do
Than sit around and f*ck my head
Hang out with the living dead
Snort white shit up my nose
Pass out at the shows
I don't even think about speed
That's something I just don't need

IVE GOT THE STRAIGHT EDGE

I'm not sXe at this point in my life, nor have I ever called myself that, but I got through high school without drinking and never had any regrets about that. Likewise, I highly respect the decision to not drink or do drugs.

Our ska scene here in Syracuse has always had a significant sXe minority that the rest of us respect. To me, ska culture in part is about tolerance and acceptance, including whether or not to drink or do drugs. We respect one another's differences and don't preach to each other.

I was kind of embarrassed at our first Stag Hotel show when JD and Gordy almost single-handedly drank the place dry. But the flipside was that the owner loved that we cleaned out his entire beer collection that night. The manager made a hefty profit, JD & Gordy had a good time and most of the rest of us didn't drink and no one cared. Kind of a win-win situation ...

I don't drink/smoke or any of that crap because it is illegal and it is bad for you.

I just never feel the need to call myself edge. I don't do it because I don't want to do it, not because it isn't edge to do them.

Just because you are "straight edge" doesn't mean you have to label yourself as such.

I honestly don't care if people are straight edge or not. I like drinkin, that's my business, just like not drinking is your business.

Blah. There is no need to get into this. Just because you fit the qualifications for being straight edge doesn't mean anything. To be straight edge is to commit yourself to not doing those things for the rest of your life. If you don't think you want that and just want to be sober untill your 21 and there is a special occation that's great. But straight edge is something totally different for the people who wish to be involved with it.

Man how I dispise Auburn lately and all the 12 year old straight edge vegan prolife LITTLE BOYS who are trying to act all tough and actually calling themselves militant when they have no comprehension of what that means. Ugh.
