It closed at the end of August. I know that because it was one of the many venues I checked for Devils Night Out in 2008.
Honestly, they had been struggling for awhile and always did best when Lost Horizon/Club Tundra was closed. The place really didn't take off until Club Tundra closed way back and with Lost Horizon reopening, that could not have been helpful. And yeah, Dan's jam band shows probably helped a lot too.
Little Italy is coming along well, but its still not a good location for a typical live music venue and may never be. Live music does best when around other places with lots of foot traffic, which is part of Dan's thinking of the Westcott Theater. And for the record, Dan took over the Westcott Theater in
December 2007 -- the fact that it took him 10 months to get open is another story altogether.
