When I was at the Last Dispatch this past summer in Boston, there was TONS of crowd surfing. I don't understand how you crowd surg to acoustic/jam band music like that, but whatever. And yeah, I was definately dancing at some points and I definately was randomly smashed by some idiot who was crowd surfing. It was a pain in the ass.

At 2 points during the concert, people started throwing bottles as well. They're now known on the Dispatch boards as the imfamous "bottle wars." I refused to participated and tried to keep my attention to the stage. Unfortuately, I was hit in the back of the head with a GLASS BOTTLE and I got really dizzy and had a bad headache for the rest of the show. It was EXTREMELY uncool.

Just because you listen to ska doesn't mean you have to like/want/need to dance. Allie, a friend of mine, doesn't dance.

Hahaha, I was hanging out with her at BTMI yesterday. I thought about trying to make her dance, then I thought she might try to kill me so I decided against it.

As for crowd-surfing, MC Bat Commander said it best last year at their NYC show. "If they want to be on top of the crowd, that's fine, but just remember, you have a right to take their shoes."
