Fri, Jul 29th -- I VOTED FOR KODOS (Wisconsin ska-punk), 33 WEST (DC ska-rock), THE VERBS (East Syracuse ska), MAGIC GOAT (Manlius ska) at the UCF Underground in Syracuse. All ages, $7 cover, show from 8-11pm. Call (315) 863-6013 for more details. Kingston Beat Productions.

If this particular show goes well, we're hoping to do a lot more cool ska shows at this place. :D

I'm very excited for this show. I hear good things about IV4K, am curious to see about this 33 West band, and I'm sure it'll be a grand time playing with Magic Goat again(when don't we, right? :-P)

Can't wait to see you all again and hear some great bands!

i read on the page about thew venue that their is no moshing. I think that thisshow is going to probally attract alot of people and when their is heavy skanky they might think it is moshing. Sorta like at the show way back in march. Were their was lots of skanking/little moshing. I hope it works out though.

Nah. We talked about it today at the meeting. I guess the venue never really said anything about it, but Danny said no moshing. They sound like pretty laid back people, and once it's explained to them what our style of dancing is and how many variations there are depending on the band/people doing the dancing, they'll be fine with it.

I dunno, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. You gonna be there?

Moshing is not skanking.

Almost every venue I've ever been to has an official policy against moshing, including the Westcott Community Center. And yeah, through the years, sometimes the skanking circle initially looks like moshing, but then everyone from the venue calms down and realizes there is little or no contact.

UCF knows we're going to dance. They just really don't know yet what skanking is, but I'm sure they will after Friday night.
