The Big Orange Bonanza

Sat, June 19th from noon-9pm. 31 bands on 3 stages.

Just got off the phone with Gabe and confirmed the complete lineup (which ironically isn't even true of his own website yet). Anywhere, here it is:

The Code
Flaming Tsunamis
Naked Citizens
Razbari Sumthing
Daly's Gone Wrong
Endive
Kicking Sicily
The Fad
Public Access
The Cohorts
No Name Charlies
The Flamingos
The Degenerates
The Smashup
You And What Army
Armed Suspects
Zombie Pit Crew
Patent Pending
IBT
We're Ugly
Spaceman The Band
Project: Citizen
Soul 4 Sale
Three Card Monte
Bad Larry
Life Before This
Junket
From Sinking
Abbott Hayes
All The More
Armed Alite Rifles

Unfortunately, Too Short Notice had to drop off.

But just the same, 31 bands of great variety isn't bad at all.

Comments????????

Well, I need one also. I have enough money to pay gas and food for someone who can drive and maybe take us both???

my issue. June 19th is a sunday. The 18th is the Saturday. I'm guessing it's the 18th, and therefore, i can't go.

i'm going to see Streetlight in albany the 17th, than going home to NYC that night, seeing bomb the music industry! at red zone in queens in the afternoon and driving (quickly) to asbury park to catch Streetlight at the Pony on the 18th.

yeah, i can totally pitch in for gas if someone can give me a ride. i *might* have one from a friend of mine, but i highly doubt it because we got into a huge fight last night at the show to Tundra. but whatever, we fight all the time, so i'm hoping that he'll come around and realize what a jerk he was nad why i got mad at him, and what not.

anyway, enough for personal drama. someone wanna offer a ride?

Yeah, that saddens me as well, but there's still a ton of other interesting bands and its a lot closer than Knoxville TN was ...

I was into most of the bands in Knoxville, and I had money saved up for it since December.

I'm only into a few of the bands at this and I'm poor.

If I weren't going to be in Jersey, I'd be there without a doubt. I love Too Short Notice, but they don't make or break this. There are plenty of bands that I know that are still worth seeing- not to mention I'm sure that there are bands there that I don't know that would be impressive.

The Flaming Tsunamis
Raz Sum
Daly's Gone Wrong
The Fad
No Name Charlies
Patent Pending
The Flamingos

^^Those bands add up to a pretty god show.

Actually, I'd go deeper than you did:

The Code
Flaming Tsunamis
Naked Citizens
Razbari Sumthing
Daly's Gone Wrong
Endive
Kicking Sicily
The Fad
Public Access
The Cohorts
No Name Charlies
The Flamingos

Those are the bands that I'm looking forward to seeing ...

I was just going by bands I listen to and have seen in the past and know put on a good show.

Endive I've seen, and wasn't much impressed, but they were also playing 5.5 hours from home to a crowd that had no clue who they were (they played a show in NJ with High School Football Heroes and Too Short Notice). I don't remember them being bad, but I do remember being somewhat apathetic.

Public Access however, I have seen twice and I thought were terrible both times. Both were in Albany and they were opening for Streetlight Manifesto. The first time I saw them they were meh. I thought maybe it was a fluke so i showed up early to catch them the next time, and they were even worse the second time I caught them. Could be two flukes because I've heard decent things about them, but that seems somewhat unlikely.

Yeah, I don't much care for Public Access, but I don't hate them. I'm looking forward to seeing Kicking Sicily for the first time, if I can make it out. And then of course RazSum, because they're my boys.

I was sad that Too Short Notice droppeed, I really REALLY liked them when I saw themand wuld LOVE to see them again. But oh well.

I just want to go because I love seeing new bands and see what they can do. It's fun.

I've seen Heart like 9 times now. Considering tickets are always like $40-70 and I've gone with my mom to NJ and PA and CT to see them, does that count?

Then, of course, who knows how many times I've seen RazSum. But then again, pretty much everyone can say that, now can't they?

I'm excited. After I see Westbound Train at Warped Tour in August, I'll have seen them 3 times this year. wOOt. I love WBT. ^_^
